Calls to a Smartnumber can be diverted to national or international phone numbers, and mobile or landline phone numbers:
- Standard Phone Formats
Destination numbers can be imported in a standard E.164 format, that is any number starting with "+". Please note that numbers starting with 0 or 00 will be converted to +44 when imported to Smartnumbers Control. - Non-UK Numbers
Non-UK numbers can be imported to Smartnumbers Control. As a security feature, calls diverted to new international numbers will be blocked by Smartnumbers by default. Please contact the Smartnumbers support team when adding any new non-UK destination numbers to ensure that calls will be diverted. - Non-Standard Number Formats
Phone numbers in a standard E.164 format can also be imported to Smartnumbers Control. For example, an extension number on your private network. To divert calls to a private network requires additional configuration by Smartnumbers and in the majority of cases this will not apply to your service. You will therefore receive a warning when importing numbers in a non-standard format.
You can also reroute your calls to an announcement that you can upload yourself and manage in the audio files area in Smartnumbers Hub. For more information, see the article on managing your routes.
