Why are voicemails from business contacts not displayed in Smartnumbers Mobile?
If Call Screening is disabled, voicemails are not displayed in Smartnumbers Mobile.
If you want voicemails to be displayed in Smartnumbers Mobile, enable Call Screening:
Navigate to > Settings > Receiving Calls and use the toggle to enable Call Screening.
Why am I not receiving calls to my Smartnumber?
If you are not receiving calls on your device, the most likely reasons are that an incorrect location or availability is set in Smartnumbers Mobile.
Navigate to > Settings >Availability and check the following:
Ensure that this is set to Available.
Ensure that this is set to Mobile.
You can set more than one Location at the same time. Smartnumbers dials out to all of the numbers at the same time and you can answer in any location.
- Settings > Change My Number > check that the deliver-to number is the number for your mobile device.
Enter your phone number associated with your device’s SIM card, not your Smartnumber.
Why are the contacts on my personal device not showing in Smartnumbers Mobile?
If Smartnumbers Mobile does not have permission to access your phone contacts, then Smartnumbers Mobile does not display contacts from your personal device.
To give Smartnumbers Mobile permission to access your phone contacts, do the following:
- iOS
Navigate to your phone settings and select Smartnumbers. Slide the toggle next to Contacts. - AndroidNavigate to your phone settings and select Apps > Smartnumbers Mobile > Permissions. Slide the toggle next to Contacts.
How do I manage business and personal contacts separately?
In the Contacts screen, you can toggle between the following tabs:
- Business
This list displays all contacts within your organisation that are also using Smartnumbers Mobile. - Phone
Smartnumbers Mobile displays the same contact list as your personal device.
How can I stop the 'Press star to answer' message playing before a call?
When Call Screening is enabled, Smartnumbers Mobile plays the 'Press star to answer' message before a call.
To stop this message from playing, disable Call Screening:
Open the Settings menu > Call settings, and use the toggle to disable Call Screening.
Tip: When Call Screening is disabled, voicemails are not displayed in Smartnumbers Mobile.
