Announcements can be created and played to your callers as part of a call flow. They can be used to welcome the user before the call flow continues or provide more details before the call ends.
An announcement message can be set up in the call flow designer to best suit your needs. After dragging and dropping an announcement service into your call flow and connecting it to a service upstream from it, you have several configuration options:
- Play audio file
This area allows you to select what audio file will be played to the caller.
- Allows selecting from a dropdown of all uploaded audio files
- If you upload a new file in the audio files area in a separate tab, you can refresh the dropdown to be able to use the newly uploaded file.
- You can preview what the selected audio file sounds like by clicking the play button
- You can also upload a WAV audio file directly into the service
- After audio plays
The output port of the announcement service can be connected to further services in your call flow. If it is not connected to anything, the call will end.
