Hunt groups allow you to distribute incoming calls to a single Smartnumber to a group of destination numbers, for example a team of employees. Calls are sent sequentially through the group of numbers if the call is unanswered, the number is busy, or an issue is detected on the line (e.g. network congestion). All calls are initially sent to the first number in the group, before hunting through the other numbers in the same order each time.
- There is no limit to how many numbers can be in the group
- Calls can hunt in a circle, eventually getting back to the first number
- Calls can be sent to either mobile or landline numbers
- An announcement may be played if the call is not answered by any number in the hunt group
Please note that the hunt group feature is not currently configurable within the Smartnumbers Hub user interface. The Smartnumbers Support Team will work with you to create the hunt group based on your requirements and support tickets should be raised for any subsequent changes.
